Who: Velupillai Prabhakaran, the leader of Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels.

What: The leader of Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels, Velupillai Prabhakaran, has been killed by the military.
Why: He was trying to flee from the last rebel-held patch of jungle in the north-east.
Question: How does the government feel about it?

What: The United States continues to talk to Cuba regarding migration and mail service.
Why: The United States has been trying to become peaceful with Cuba.
Question: When will we become peaceful to the point where Cuba and United States will become allies?
LAST KNOWN TITANIC SURVIVOR DIES
Who: Millvina Dean
Where:South Hampton
What: She is known to be the last survivor of the Titanic at 97 years old
Why: There are no more survivors so this makes her a celebrity-type person even though she didn't know she was on the ship until she was eight years old
Question: How many survivors were there in all?
Deputies shoot man with knife at hospital (SF Gate)
Who: Paul Hammond and two Contra Costa County Sheriff's Deputies
Where: Contra Costa Regional Medical Center
When: June 8, 2009
What: After a man had brandished a knife at the two deputies, the men shot and killed the man.
Why: They felt they were being threatened.
Question: Why would someone abuse that authority?
